This book by Steve Smith was a well laid out and well written fictional vision casting tool for No Place Left!The book takes the reader through [what starts as] three plots that are wonderfully woven together. The main plot was beautifully crated and thought out in taking the reader through the process of "discovering" the No Place Left vision themselves. While it is a fictional work it has many real life implications. It has really re-fueled my passion and drive for the No Place Vision and desire to be that final gneration which hastens the day of our Lord's return.
To any missionary or church planter: I would highly suggest 2 things:
1.) You personally read this, I think it was good for my soul to be reminded of the end vision. I think it was also good to receive this vision in a new and less "instructional" manner.
2.) Give this to your short term teams, prayer partners and supporters. This will be a way to really vision cast and light a spark in their hearts for what you are doing!

Serves its purpose getting Christians excited about finishing the Great Commission. Possible in our lifetime! Probably not of interest to people not already interested in Christianity, but definitely good to inspire Christians to think and act.
The story was not very gripping at the start, the plot and characters are not too engaging, but despite these flaws the narrative does build solidly to some truly touching moments.
Exciting read and gripping tale that brings together all of the threads and I've been following since 1988.
So wonderful to read about people to work actually getting the father's part of the nation.
My wife (Rachel) & I could not put this down. As CPM catalysts who are giving our lives to igniting global gospel movements, we are grateful to Steve Smith for painting a picture of what it could look like to finish the great commission task in this generation (Matthew 2414)! I can't express how awesome this book it. It isn't the best written fiction, but the meaning behind everything is gripping! I have been recommending it to everyone I know involved with discipleship. And even those who aren't and need a wake up call.;-)
Though this book is technically fiction and in novel form, it's principles and concepts are absolutely true and realistic. There is something stirring in many believers who have been complacent (asleep) for a long time, myself being one of them. God has already been drawing me deeper into His heart with the things addressed in this book, and I'm honored to be a part of seeing the beginning of movement in Houston, Tx. You should definitely take the time to read this book, and also evaluate your own heart. I was given this book as a gift from one of my colleagues at work and I read it in four days. I have read Steve Smith's T4T book and enjoyed it, yet was skeptical if he could pull off writing fiction. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised!
The story pacing was really good and the dialogue banter was easy to follow. If I was a non-believer reading this I would totally find some of the references bordering on Christian propaganda. However, when you realize the goal was to fictionalize what many mission agencies are seeing happen around the world, it's easy to look past the "forced" references. I am looking forward to reading the second book when it is published!
#NoPlaceLeft for Jesus is within the grasp of our generation. Really like the vision and the "call to arms" Steve sounds in this book. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because of the unlikely Marine character that is central to the book. Military officers do not act in the manner depicted and to my knowledge there are no Marine officers with his type of background, but it is fiction...
